Hamish Brown is a British pianist, based in London. An award-winning and highly versatile collaborative artist, his international work with singers and instrumentalists has taken him to Wigmore Hall, Oxford International Song Festival, Schubertíada Vilabertran, Klosters Music Festival, Beethovenfest Bonn, Kings Place, Cadogan Hall, Heidelberger Frühling, International Lied Festival Zeist, Buxton International Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Three Palaces Festival, Legislative Assembly of Madeira, Aldeburgh Festival, Elgar Room, Saffron Hall, Leeds Lieder Festival, Hay Festival, St John’s Smith Square, Lichfield Festival and The Danish Song Society. His performances have been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4, BBC Four and Danish Radio. His debut album, a recital disc with internationally celebrated mezzo-soprano Beth Taylor, will be released on Linn Records in spring 2026.
Hamish has performed in orchestras such as Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Orpheus Sinfonia and Southbank Sinfonia, under conductors including Vasily Petrenko, John Wilson, Vladimir Jurowski and Jac van Steen. In recent years, Hamish has featured as soloist in the Piano Concerto in A minor (Schumann) and Piano Concerto No. 23 in A major (Mozart).
Throughout his career, Hamish has held a passion for work with innovative, challenging, multi-genre projects. Such experiences include Adding Machine (Joshua Schmidt) at the Finborough Theatre, Sideshows (Leo Geyer and Constella Music) at Sadler’s Wells, The Sound Voice Project (Hannah Conway) at Kings Place, and A Child In Striped Pyjamas (Noah Max) at the Cockpit Theatre.
